Artist's Comments
If you were privilaged to see the progression of my art through the years [few were to really see the sketchbooks where most of my art stayed], you might have seen several drawing appear between these ladies.
...What I want to say is interesting, is in all the manner they have taken form...and as I think about it, I find it ever more strange. Amanda and I have been friends for a very long time, and in these drawing I am always the comforter, the healer, always above in space, whether it was us as ourselves or as a more fantasy like character, at least of the sketches I can remember. This is drawing from a journey I took recently to send my friend some light after her surgery, and for a moment this appeared to me...I had gained faery wings and sprinkled gold dust over my friend. May she be feeling better and healing well. Close ups: [Moi][link] [Elle][link] All images (c) Tricia Clark-Gilley |

St. Francis said,
“A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.”
