Remember the Tingle in Your Fingers?

I'm trying to become more active about my art again...I don't know what that means regarding this place, whether much of my new stuff will get posted or not, but it felt like the right thing to at least say something.

I just went halvsies with my mother on a 120 prismacolor set, now I just need to figure out what to draw! I want to start paiting as well, and finally take that life drawing class I've been dying to attend since 7th grade, but that's stuff for the future, for right now my life consists of other things, and balance doesn't always come as easy as that.

I would like to get back [get into?] into digital media as well...everything has been really scattered since my computer died and I switched to a laptop, many things never got reinstalled, and many of my old accessories, like my printer and laptop which I knew well, weren't compatible with Vista, which I am very sad about because I havn't yet tried to hook up my tablet to know whether it will work or not. The scanner on this new printer/copier/scanner thing my parents got me would be fine, if the program was as extensive as my last scanning program, and I knew how to work it...but I can't do all the same edits as I would on the old one...not to mention my lack of photo editing software, even the standard windows editing program isn't up to par, I could use XP's editor just fine...

Anyways, not here to complain, just to inform. Myspace is for complaining ;P

Feel free to send some inspiration my way should you read this, I'm always interested in learning about new/old/different artists and art.

There is tons of information about it everywhere, just look it up on google, or go to your library/book store our Powelles has a couple sections dedicated to it under Anthropology and...relgion maybe? I suggest reading Micheal Harner's Way of the Shaman...Sanda Ingerman's Shamanic Journeying is very helpful too.

It's basically...a more compassionate anamistic way of looking at and interacting with the world. (Animism is the belief that all things have spirit). It is about healing, and self exploration and making the world beautiful too...

i'm starting a new project titled BLOK.

the idea is i am collating loads of peoples interpretations of a certain 4 words, including my own.

then i will make a huge journal/blog with all the pieces, so that people can see how different and amazing everybody's take on life is.

your interpretation can be a drawing, a painting, some typography, photography, a poem, or even a story, it can manifest any form you wish, as long as you can justify why.

please send me your final interpreations, it would be most obliged, obviously you have the right to all your work lol, i just want to collect and show people how much individuality there is out there.

the piece has to involve all 4 words in some way or other, not just one or two of them.

just send the link to your deviation for the project to me , there is no deadline but the sooner i get it, the sooner it will be linked in my journal

the 4 words are:
bumblebee, lady, opening, and key.

heres links to the couple done so far, ill upload thumbs when theres more.
